Members of the Pleasant Grove VFD participated in the annual Big Sandy Fourth of July parade Sunday, July 4. The parade route and commencement time was changed from previous years. The parade started on Wiley Boulevard and then went down to Wildcat Drive. The parade was held just before the city fireworks started. Chief Scott Mischnick drove the department’s engine in the parade, while Arthur Duke, member, drove one of the brush trucks. Other participants with the department rode as passengers in or on the trucks, waving to parade onlookers.
